1. Participants must be registered Scouts or Ventures.
  2. Participants must be 13 years old by January 1 of the year of attendance. 
    1. All SCUBA participants must be 14 by the date of attendance
    2. All Island Adventure be 14 years of age at date of attendance or capable of long kayak travels.
  3. Participants must be able to pass the official BSA swim test. 
    1. Participants (youth and adults) unable to pass the BSA Swim test will be unable to participate in all the activities.
  4. All participants must have a BSA Medical forms A/B/C within the last 12 months. 
    1. A special SCUBA medical evaluation and waiver are required for the SCUBA program. 
    2. Inquire early about the medical requirements for participation. 
    3. At least one  member of each crew must have current certification in first aid and CPR.
  5. Crews Attending must have two-deep leadership in keeping with national BSA policy. 
    1. One of the adult leaders must be 21 years of age or older and certified in safe swim defense and safety afloat. 
    2. The other must be 18 or older.  Co-ed crews must have male and female leaders 21 years of age or older.
  6. Do not ask if any of these requirements can be waived.  The answer will be no.
